At Trentham in New Zealand, Jindera Park's Gr3-winning stallion Fast 'N' Famous (Redoute's Choice-Zalinda, by Zabeel) celebrated an elite Gr1 success when 7YO gelding Adventador (Fast 'n' Famous-Alpine Beauty, by Khozaam) scored by 1-length for trainers Guy Lowry & Grant Cullen in the NZ$250,000 Gr1 Telegraph (1200m) for 3YO+, over 4YO mare Miss Seton Sands (Gonski-Whodat Cugat, by King Cugat) & 7YO mare Trepidation (Falkirk-Rebellious Angel, by Success Express). Adventador took his record to 7 wins (including the Listed Levin Stakes) and 8 placings from 24 starts for NZ$271,900 earnings. Adventador is trained by Guy Lowry and Grant Cullen, who prepared Miss Bailey during his solo career to win the 1999 Wellington Cup as a 142-1 shot, and followed their 2014 Telegraph success with Irish Fling. "We worked him in blinkers about six weeks ago and he was very impressive," Lowry told NZ Racing Desk. "We thought we would save them for something special and it was today." He added: "This horse has had a lot of problems – he's had a wind operation and he's got a plate in his leg. It's very satisfying."
