(Fastnet Rock-Rose Of Cimmaron, by Bite the Bullet)
Stands 2017 at Kingstar Farm, NSW, for $7,700
A $960,000 yearling, Bull Point’s pedigree and type are obviously without question. He is a son of twice Champion Sire Fastnet Rock, who is sire of 93 stakes winners including 23 at Gr1 level. His sons at stud are still young, but include the promising Hinchinbrook (sire of Gr1 winner Press Statement), and coincidentally, like Bull Point, Hinchinbrook is a Gr3 winner and multiple Gr1 placed.
Bull Point is out of a winning full-sister to the dam of multiple Gr1 winner and globetrotter Criterion. This is a grand family with many top class group horses on the page. No wonder Bull Point, who is leeting down magnificently as a young stallion, made so much as a yearling.
As a racehorse, expensive yearlings have much to live up to. Bull Point delivered this, emerging early to win twice as a 2YO. In this 3YO season, he came out early, running third to Zoustar and future Horse of the Year Dissident in the Gr1 Golden Rose. He also beat Gr1 winner The Quarterback when he won the Gr3 Manfred Stakes, so the form around him is strong. Bull Point raced on at four, and proved himself again at Gr1 level with a third in the Gr1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes behind Trust in a Gust and Dissident (again). He had several other group placings at four, always being pitted against the best company, and also won in the city over a mile as a 5YO.
Bull Point's connections have created a compelling deal for breeders. This innovative opportunity comprises:
